This easy snack recipe produces a healthier alternative to brownies that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
1 cup almonds
1 cup dates (pitted)
2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup Unsweetened coconut flakes
1/2 Cup almond flakes
Grind the almonds in a food processor. Don’t over do it or you will create a nut butter, and you don’t want that for this recipe. Remove and set aside. Put the dates in the food processor. Eventually, the dates will begin to form a ball. This may take a few minutes. Add the almonds and maple syrup to the dates. Mix until combined. Once everything has been combined, use your hands and a spoon to roll the mixture into 10 to 12 bites. Roll date half of the brownie bites in coconut flakes and the other half in almond flakes.
The brownie bites will keep in the refrigerator for a week or two.
