Oregrown, which bills itself as “Oregon's premier farm-to-table cannabis company,” recently announced it will sponsor professional snowboarder Brandon Cocard and become the title sponsor for Absinthe Films’ 2017-18 snowboarding film.

"Oregrown has always been committed to representing cannabis in its best light. We consider it an honor and a privilege to support Absinthe and athletes like Brandon while expanding awareness of the many ways that cannabis can benefit a healthy, active lifestyle," said Oregrown co-founder Aviv Hadar in a company issued press release.

Cocard, one of Absinthe Films’ featured riders, will receive a monthly stipend from Oregrown.  The company will also assist with travel and snowboarding competition entry fees.

While cannabis use has long been a staple of snowboarding culture, Cocard uses cannabis strains that are cannabidiol (CBD) heavy to battle inflammation and injuries caused by snowboarding.
